About the role
We are looking for a proactive Medical Virtual Assistant to support the operational health of a busy chiropractic clinic. The role is remote, 30 hours per week, and focuses on insurance, billing, and workflow optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance and ensure accurate documentation shortly after check‑in.
- Review denied claims, manage reprocessing, and track issues to prevent repeat errors.
- Process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents, clear backlogs, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Monitor SOAP note completion, appointment trends, and prepare operational reports with actionable insights.
- Coordinate vendor payments, support claims processing (including Cigna and Veterans Affairs), and resolve patient balance issues.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant supporting a US healthcare practice.
- Strong English communication, executive presence, high accountability, and ability to work independently on a Mac OS platform.
Required skills
- Mac OS proficiency
- Familiarity with CPT coding
- Familiarity with ICD‑10 coding
