About the role
We are looking for a proactive Medical Virtual Assistant to support the operational health of a busy chiropractic clinic. The role is remote, 30 hours per week, and focuses on streamlining insurance, billing, and documentation workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance and ensure accurate documentation.
- Manage denied claims, reprocess them, and track issues.
- Process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and clear backlogs.
- Resolve patient balance issues and coordinate vendor payments.
- Monitor SOAP note completion and appointment tracking.
- Prepare operational reports with insights and recommendations.
- Identify workflow gaps and recommend efficiency improvements.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant supporting US healthcare.
- Strong English communication, executive presence, and high accountability.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and able to work independently.
Required skills
- Mac OS proficiency.
- Experience with insurance verification, claims, EOB processing.
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD‑10 coding.
