Backend Engineer (Node.js & JavaScript) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to design and build data‑intensive applications using JavaScript and Node.js. The role is fully remote and focuses on creating high‑performance backend solutions, optimizing data pipelines, and solving complex algorithmic challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions for complex data manipulation and transformation.
• Build and optimise data processing workflows and pipelines.
• Work with diverse data structures (arrays, objects, maps, sets, trees, graphs) to solve technical challenges efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on backend architecture, API design, and system integration.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript for backend development, preferably with Node.js.
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, including sorting, searching, traversal, and optimisation techniques.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous programming patterns.
• Advanced level of English.
