Senior QA Engineer (Remote)

Makai’s Automation Platform leverages AI and data to solve real‑world operational challenges. As a Senior QA Engineer you will be the hands‑on expert driving quality initiatives, ensuring product reliability, performance, and user satisfaction in a fully remote, full‑time position.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑End Quality Ownership: analyse requirements, design test strategies, execute tests and report release readiness.
• Functional, integration, regression, compatibility and exploratory testing to guarantee high‑quality releases.
• API & backend testing using Postman and complex SQL queries to validate business logic and data integrity.
• Defect management: identify, document, track and verify bug fixes in close collaboration with developers.
• Process advocacy: champion best‑practice QA processes, provide feedback during grooming sessions and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentorship & knowledge sharing: coach team members and foster a strong culture of quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional QA experience testing complex web applications.
• Expertise in modern QA methodologies, test design techniques and full SDLC/STLC within Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proficiency in database testing with complex SQL queries (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Foundational test‑automation experience with Cypress, Playwright or Selenium.
• Ability to read and understand JavaScript, TypeScript or Python code.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a methodical testing approach.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and strong communication and collaboration skills.
