Senior Program Coordinator – Humanitarian Programs

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to lead and manage the implementation of multi‑sector humanitarian programmes in Venezuela. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Programs (DDP) for Colombia, you will ensure high‑quality delivery across health, protection, education, economic recovery and related areas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day programme implementation in field offices, ensuring alignment with IRC standards and timelines.
• Coordinate with technical coordinators and programme leads from health, women’s protection, child protection, education and economic recovery.
• Support programme coordinators and partnership teams in monitoring local partners under the PEERS approach.
• Identify and develop new partnerships with local organisations to expand programme reach.
• Represent the Venezuelan programme in internal and external meetings, enhancing visibility and stakeholder acceptance.
• Participate in the Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic planning and cross‑departmental coordination.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑sector humanitarian programmes in complex environments.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to work across diverse teams.
• Excellent communication in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Eligibility to work in Venezuela.
