Project Manager – Portfolio (Humanitarian)

About the role

The Project Manager (portfolio) will lead the timely, effective and high‑quality implementation of Save the Children’s project portfolio in the assigned region. Working closely with internal teams and local partners, the role ensures resources are used appropriately and field work plans align with donor commitments and the Country Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of the project portfolio across the region, ensuring alignment with programmatic and support areas.
• Manage resources, budgets and indicators to meet donor and strategic commitments.
• Collaborate with local partners and Save the Children teams to guarantee effective field operations.
• Monitor progress, produce reports and adjust plans to address challenges in complex contexts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, International Development, Project Management or related field.
• 2‑4 years of project management experience in humanitarian or development settings, including field operations.
• Project Management certification or proven experience managing UN‑funded or institutional projects.
• Demonstrated ability to implement humanitarian, development or emergency response projects in complex environments.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office for planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Excellent leadership, cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse, inclusive teams.
