Project Development & Reporting Officer

About the role

The Project Development and Reporting Officer supports the coordination and facilitation of project development, donor and institutional reporting, and liaison activities with government, UN agencies and other stakeholders. Working under the Chief of Mission and Head of PSU, the officer ensures alignment with IOM’s regional and country strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of results‑based programmes, concept notes and project proposals in coordination with donors, government counterparts and partners.
• Support the endorsement process for concept notes and assist Project Managers in drafting donor reports in line with IOM policies.
• Research realistic funding opportunities, review calls for proposals and draft donor profiles and guidance notes.
• Maintain effective working relationships with donor counterparts, government authorities and other programme partners.
• Prepare visibility and resource‑mobilisation materials, organise donor briefings and visits, and maintain accurate project and reporting records.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Development, Migration Studies, Law or related field with at least two years relevant experience, or a university degree with four years experience.
• Proven experience in results‑based project development, technical writing and donor report writing in humanitarian or development settings.
• Experience in donor relations and grant management for donors of interest to IOM.
• Demonstrated analytical, planning and coordination skills, with ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, including use of database applications.
• Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation concepts and methodologies.
