Systems Administrator / IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Administrator & IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team supporting a 500‑user, multi‑state organization with a hybrid workforce. The role blends Tier 2 support responsibilities with core systems administration, offering the chance to deepen infrastructure expertise while maintaining strong customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex Help Desk tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, OS, mobile, and network issues.
• Provide after‑hours support rotation and mentor Tier 1 technicians.
• Administer Microsoft 365 E5 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Copilot) and manage Entra ID/Hybrid Active Directory lifecycle tasks.
• Maintain security groups, distribution lists, Conditional Access, MFA, and Self‑Service Password Reset.
• Manage endpoint solutions via Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, including Windows 11 deployments, Android Enterprise, and Apple Business Manager.
• Enforce compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines; deploy software and updates.
• Support Windows Server environments and Dell Hyper‑V clusters, assisting with virtual machine administration and broader infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Proven ability to resolve Tier 2 support issues with minimal supervision.
• Trusted escalation resource for IT Support Technicians.
• Independent administration of Microsoft 365 and Intune environments.
• Active participation in server, networking, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Commitment to automation, process improvement, documentation, and operational maturity.
