Solution Architect - SWC

About the role

Rockwell Automation is hiring a SWC Solution Architect in the Andean Region, reporting to the Manager, Business Segment SWC. The role supports the reactivation of the Venezuela market and sustained growth, covering technical coverage, customer engagement and execution capacity. It involves designing industrial automation solutions, building proposals and acting as a technical advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end industrial automation solutions, including control systems, software, networks and cybersecurity.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, define customer requirements and build modernization roadmaps and migration strategies for installed-base customers.
• Support strategic pursuits, proposals, demonstrations and bid defenses, and act as technical advisor to customers, partners and internal teams.
• Work with the Account Manager through the opportunity cycle, from prospecting to proposal presentation, and deliver proofs of concept when needed.
• Help customers justify investment in RA systems based on expected financial and productivity outcomes.
• Deliver one application per month to the Innovation Center (increasing to two later).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Preferred: 5+ years in commercial or project management roles, experience with end-users, EPCs, OEMs, distributors and system integrators, and an industrial and technical background.

Required skills

• Preferred Rockwell Automation expertise: PlantPAx distributed control systems, Process Library, alarm management, batch applications, historian integration, Logix platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000), FactoryTalk View/Optix, PanelView Plus, FactoryTalk Historian and AssetCentre.
• Preferred: PowerFlex drives, Motor Control Centers, EtherNet/IP and CIP networking, industrial cybersecurity.
• Preferred: architecture and business skills such as brownfield modernization, technical proposal development, value selling and industry knowledge of oil & gas, mining, chemical, food & beverage, life sciences, water/wastewater and power & energy.
