Human Resources Assistant – G4 (Caracas)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant (G4) to support recruitment and pre‑employment activities at its Caracas office. This short‑term position runs until 31 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the publication of vacancy notices and special vacancy notices.
• Receive, sort, and manage applications; arrange interviews and tests.
• Prepare required documentation and materials for candidates.
• Communicate with candidates, contact previous employers for reference checks, and handle related correspondence.
• Carry out pre‑employment activities, including preparation of Entry on Duty (EOD) documents, collection of supporting paperwork, coordination of medical exams, and follow‑up on medical clearances.
• Organise orientation sessions, security briefings, and other onboarding procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to coordinate recruitment processes and manage documentation efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with candidates, employers, and internal teams.
• Experience in handling reference checks and pre‑employment administrative tasks.
