Head of Support Services

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a strategic leader to head its Support Services function in Venezuela. Based in Caracas, the Head of Support Services will ensure that finance, human resources, supply chain, procurement, administration, IT, and risk & compliance operate efficiently and in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the support managers, overseeing people planning, performance, well‑being and development.
• Deliver and report on the country‑wide support programme, ensuring high‑quality operational approaches.
• Develop and improve compliance systems, supporting the Country Director in designing sustainable interventions.
• Provide technical support to programme teams, aligning with organisational priorities.
• Oversee annual planning and review processes and ensure readiness for both emergency response and long‑term programming.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in managing multi‑disciplinary support functions within a complex, multi‑location environment.
• Strong strategic and solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic settings.
• Excellent understanding of donor compliance, regulatory, fiscal, labour and customs matters.
• Demonstrated capacity to drive continuous improvement, accountability and transparency.
