Data Engineer (Snowflake) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer specialized in Snowflake to design and build scalable ELT pipelines and data models that turn raw data into actionable insights. The role is fully remote and part of BairesDev’s global data team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise robust ELT workflows using Snowflake and dbt for large‑scale datasets.
• Develop and maintain modular data models applying software‑engineering best practices such as version control and automated testing.
• Orchestrate complex pipeline dependencies and schedules with Apache Airflow to ensure data freshness and reliability.
• Write and tune high‑performance SQL queries that leverage Snowflake’s architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, schema designs and quality standards.
• Monitor pipeline health, identify bottlenecks and resolve issues to guarantee continuous data delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on modern data‑stack technologies.
• Proven expertise building and optimising ELT pipelines and data models in Snowflake.
• Proficiency with dbt for data transformation and model management.
• Hands‑on experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Advanced skill in writing and optimising complex SQL queries.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
