Category Management Specialist – Caracas

About the role

The Category Management Specialist is a strategic position focused on developing and executing advanced category management processes for key customers in the DT, IT, and D&P segments. Based in Caracas, the role drives retail excellence by turning shopper insights into actionable selling stories that deliver measurable ROI.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement optimal assortment and shelf placement strategies to maximize space profitability and chain sales across assigned categories.
• Develop comprehensive Category Assessments and Productivity Analyses using Colgate‑Palmolive tools, delivering quarterly performance reviews.
• Create and present Category Selling Stories and NPI exhibition proposals, overseeing pilot roll‑outs and expansions.
• Collaborate closely with the CD Team and Sales to identify growth opportunities and support advanced execution tools for stakeholders.
• Lead training initiatives for merchandisers, commercial teams, and external clients on CATMAN methodologies and specialized software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• Minimum 2 + years experience in sales, commercial or marketing roles.
• Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel for advanced data management.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
