Software Engineer – Modernization (Remote)

About the role

Join BairesDev as a Software Engineer focused on modernizing legacy applications. You will lead the transformation of monolithic systems into agile, cloud‑ready microservices, ensuring business continuity while improving performance and maintainability.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose large monolithic applications into microservices using patterns such as the Strangler Fig.
• Refactor existing .NET or Java codebases to enhance readability, maintainability, and performance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between decoupled services.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines to automate delivery and reduce deployment risk.
• Collaborate with domain experts to define bounded contexts and maintain data consistency during migration.

Required profile

• Proven experience modernizing legacy systems and building microservices architectures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
