Operations Manager – Facilities Services (Venezuela)

About the role

The Operations Manager will be based in Venezuela and will support the US Embassy Venezuela BLS Services contract for the U.S. Department of State. This senior position holds authority to allocate labor, tools, materials and other resources to fulfill the task order requirements while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Quality Assurance standards.
• Provide required documentation and materials to relevant divisions.
• Manage, monitor, and track service delivery and staff resources.
• Identify problem areas, respond to mission requirements, and execute task order duties.
• Plan and manage projects, control resources, and monitor staff proficiency and qualifications.
• Coordinate information flow between staff and US Government representatives.
• Resolve operational issues and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of support services and/or facilities management experience.
• At least 5 years managing services for large facilities or operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of operations and maintenance (O&M) activities.
• Proven ability to lead and manage staff in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment.
• Cross‑cultural sensitivity and an international perspective.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.
• Valid driver’s license from home of record.
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
