Mainframe Developer – Remote Work

About the role

As a Mainframe Developer you will maintain and modernize critical COBOL applications that support essential banking and insurance systems. Working remotely, you will act as a bridge between legacy mainframe infrastructure and modern business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission‑critical applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
• Manage and optimise mainframe batch and online processing workflows with JCL and VSAM.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Support modernization initiatives to integrate legacy systems with cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure system stability and security by following enterprise coding standards.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering or mainframe development.
• Proven expertise in maintaining and modernising COBOL applications on IBM mainframes.
• Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technical troubleshooting.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
