UN Coordination Associate

About the role

The UN Coordination Associate will support the Resident Coordinator Office in Caracas, contributing to the implementation of the Assistance Framework and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This is a fully funded 12‑month UN Volunteer assignment based on UN premises, reporting directly to the Head of the Resident Coordinator Office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inter‑agency coordination support to enhance collaboration among UN entities.
• Assist in strategic planning, development economics analysis, and partnership development for financing development initiatives.
• Support data management, results tracking, and accountability mechanisms.
• Contribute to communication, advocacy, and outreach activities.
• Help the Resident Coordinator in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the UN Country Team’s progress.

Required profile

• Experience in UN coordination, international development, or related fields.
• Familiarity with UN system processes and coordination mechanisms.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite for the duration of the assignment.
