Team Leader – Venezuela Scoping Mission (1‑month consultancy)

About the role

Relief International is seeking a qualified Team Leader to manage a time‑bound, one‑month scoping mission in Venezuela following the June 2026 earthquakes. The consultant will be based in Caracas and will travel to affected areas as needed to assess partnership and response opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day planning, coordination and delivery of the scoping mission.
• Coordinate locally engaged support personnel and ensure smooth logistics for site visits.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, consultations and field visits with government, NGOs and community groups.
• Guide partner and operational mapping, and contribute to the final scoping report and options paper.
• Serve as the in‑country focal point for coordination, working closely with technical, operations, compliance, security and resource‑mobilisation teams.
• Represent Relief International in agreed meetings, without making binding commitments unless authorized.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian coordination, especially post‑earthquake health recovery or emergency preparedness.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, remote‑engagement environment and travel to affected sites.
• Strong understanding of partnership‑led recovery approaches and stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to undergo advanced pre‑contracting checks for field travel.
