About the role
Chapman Management Group is seeking a remote Tax Credit Compliance Assistant based in Latin America to support its affordable housing portfolio. The role is an independent contractor position focused on ensuring compliance with tax credit programs and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Review application files for completeness and send corrections to site teams.
- Track and update the file review log daily.
- Upload completed and approved files to the property management system.
- Compile and review recertification files, correcting any issues.
- Update Procorem monthly for Virginia properties.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Process application screenings and send documents for electronic signature.
- Assist with utility analysis and annual rent increases.
- Update building occupancy and vacancy reports with DHCD.
Required profile
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Understanding of affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, HOME, and HUD.
- Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) certification preferred or obtainable within three months.
- Prior experience in affordable housing compliance or property‑management administration.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Property management software (e.g., Entrata or similar).
- Electronic signature platforms.
- Document management systems.
