Spanish Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This contract position is for a Spanish Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of AI‑generated Spanish content. Working remotely, you will guide trainers and reviewers, ensure adherence to project rubrics, and help improve the linguistic quality of training data for leading AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Spanish content and trainer/QA work against detailed guidelines.
• Provide precise written feedback in English and Spanish to improve output quality.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to the broader team.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Monitor contributor activity and reactivate inconsistent performers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent command of English for following guidelines and delivering feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or similar workflows.
• Familiarity with both Latin American and European Spanish variants and ability to specify supported variants.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, accents, tone, register, and cultural context.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot issues such as mistranslation, unnatural tone, missing accents, hallucinated claims, and inconsistent terminology.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QA specialists.
