Senior Lab Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As a Senior Lab Systems Engineer you will design, develop, and customize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) using business process modeling. The role blends deep laboratory science knowledge with software engineering to improve data integrity, workflow efficiency, and system reliability for life‑science research and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customize LIMS platforms, preferably Labbit or similar solutions.
• Design and implement Business Process Modeling (BPM) workflows for laboratory operations.
• Query and manage data using SPARQL and RDF technologies.
• Automate tasks and extend system functionality with Python.
• Integrate LIMS with other laboratory and business systems, including REST APIs.
• Optimize laboratory workflows and ensure system performance and reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background with LIMS implementations, preferably Labbit.
• Hands‑on experience with Business Process Modeling.
• Proficiency in SPARQL and understanding of RDF.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Fluent English (advanced level).
