Senior Design Coordinator – Airport EPC Construction

About the role

The Senior Design Coordinator will lead multidisciplinary design efforts for large‑scale airport projects, ensuring that all deliverables meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and construction needs. This role requires close collaboration with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and specialist vendors to produce coordinated, constructible designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design activities across architecture, structural, MEP, ELV, ICT, security, aviation, and specialist airport systems.
• Review and manage design submissions, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, international standards, and airport authority regulations.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings, track progress, and resolve technical conflicts.
• Oversee BIM model reviews, multidisciplinary integration, and clash detection processes.
• Manage the design review cycle, including comments, approvals, revisions, and document control.
• Support value‑engineering initiatives and assess design changes for cost, schedule, and quality impacts.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs, technical queries, and design issues during construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in design coordination or design management on major infrastructure, aviation, or complex building projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage consultant deliverables.
• Strong understanding of design development, technical reviews, approvals, and construction coordination.
• Experience in BIM‑based design environments for large‑scale projects.
