Construction Estimator – Framing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented professional to join our pre‑construction team. You will analyse architectural and structural blueprints to produce accurate material take‑offs and competitive cost estimates for both light‑gauge/structural steel and wood framing packages, directly influencing project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse architectural and structural drawings to generate precise material take‑offs and cost estimates for steel and wood framing.
• Prepare drawings from supplied plans and sketches and perform component‑based take‑offs from shop drawings.
• Manage day‑to‑day workflow of the estimating department, prioritising and assigning projects.
• Calculate project time and budget estimates based on required materials and resources, maintaining a system for recurring projects.
• Ensure finished estimates align with customer and project requirements and perform any other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (upper‑intermediate to proficient).
• Strong engineering or architectural background with at least 2 years of construction estimating experience, specifically in wood and steel framing.
• Professional attitude, solid written and verbal communication, and strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and comply with project directives when needed.
