Senior Accountant – Remote Crypto Fintech

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a fast‑growing fintech and cryptocurrency client that operates a nationwide network of digital‑currency ATMs, OTC trading, online crypto purchases and digital wallets. This fully remote, hands‑on position will manage high‑volume reconciliations, digital‑asset accounting and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Reconcile cash and transaction activity across a distributed network of digital‑currency kiosks, working with operations and cash‑logistics teams.
• Support accounting for digital‑asset transactions, tracking volume, gains/losses across kiosk sales, OTC trading, online purchases and wallet activity.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management and vendor relationships.
• Assist compliance reporting for a licensed money‑services business, partnering with the compliance team.
• Integrate and optimize cloud‑based accounting tools to scale with the multi‑location business.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of U.S. accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to manage full‑cycle accounting in high‑transaction, multi‑location environments.
• Strong general‑ledger, reconciliation and month‑end close skills with adaptability to changing priorities.
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
• Based in Latin America or Europe.

• QuickBooks Online or similar cloud accounting software.
• Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive.
• Zoom or Google Meet for virtual collaboration.
