Security Officer (NO-2) – Fixed Term – Caracas, Venezuela

About the role

The Security Officer reports to the Representative and provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance for security planning, management and risk assessments. The role ensures the safety of personnel, their eligible family members, and the protection of UNICEF premises, assets and resources at the duty station.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security‑related field (e.g., Security Risk Management, International Relations, Conflict Analysis)
• Minimum two years of professional experience in global security risk management or security analysis
• Ability to assess security risks and emerging threats
• Ability to prepare clear security incident reports and related documentation
• Ability to develop and deliver security training and capacity‑building initiatives
• Ability to support emergency planning
• Proficiency in Spanish and English
