Remote Spanish to English Medical Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Spanish to English Medical Interpreter to bridge critical communication gaps for Spanish‑speaking patients. You will ensure equitable access to healthcare by accurately conveying medical information between patients and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and related information between Spanish‑speaking patients and healthcare professionals.
• Provide cultural mediation to help patients navigate the healthcare system and assist providers in understanding cultural nuances.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
• Document each interpretation session, including date, time, duration, and type of service.
• Stay current with medical terminology and healthcare practices through continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Fluency in both Spanish (full) and English (conversational).
• Experience in medical interpretation or translation.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system.
• Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• USB headset for clear audio communication.
• High‑speed internet connection (minimum 15 Mbps download/upload).
• Reliable PC (5th‑generation processor or newer) with at least 8 GB RAM.
• Wired LAN (Ethernet) connection.
• HD webcam for video calls.
