National Grants Specialist – Humanitarian Sector

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a qualified National Grants Specialist to support the management of its donor‑funded portfolio in Venezuela. Based in Caracas, the specialist will ensure compliance with donor regulations, timely reporting, and effective contract administration across multiple field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure high‑quality contract management, flagging risks and supporting amendments such as extensions or revisions.
• Coordinate grant kickoff, review and closing meetings, tracking progress against timelines and action points.
• Maintain and update the Grants Management Cards in Microsoft Dynamics and internal SharePoint documentation.
• Update the grants tracker and communicate regularly with regional offices, headquarters and field teams.
• Support implementation teams in understanding contractual obligations and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and coordinate project reports in line with donor requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in grant management, finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in humanitarian or development grant administration.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance, reporting standards and contract management.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multi‑disciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics for Grants Management.
• Experience using SharePoint for document management.
