Mechanic Inspector

About the role

The Mechanic Inspector is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Maracaibo. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing and overseeing mechanical maintenance activities on equipment and systems used in industrial operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and detailed inspections of heavy equipment.
• Verify compliance with maintenance standards and identify potential mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and monitor preventive‑maintenance tasks.
• Review repair work and ensure proper documentation of inspections and findings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement in equipment reliability and safety.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong skills in maintenance and repair of industrial and plant equipment.
• Solid experience in preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Hands‑on expertise with heavy equipment used in oil and gas, petrochemical or similar industries.
• Proven troubleshooting ability to diagnose mechanical faults.
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in inspection roles within oil and gas, petrochemical or heavy‑industrial environments (advantage).
• Knowledge of safety regulations, mechanical standards and documentation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and willingness to comply with health, safety and environmental policies.
