Master Electrician Supervisor – US Embassy Venezuela

About the role

The Master Electrician Supervisor will be based in Venezuela supporting the U.S. Embassy Venezuela BLS Services contract. The role oversees operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant power delivery for mission requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, medium‑voltage electricians, and support staff in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, lighting, emergency power and control systems.
• Implement and enforce preventive maintenance programs to maximize system uptime, safety and reliability.
• Diagnose complex electrical malfunctions, power‑quality issues and equipment failures; perform load management and power‑quality monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA and manufacturer specifications; conduct electrical safety training and enforce LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Schedule personnel shifts, support short‑notice projects and emergency response.
• Inspect and audit work, review and approve electrical drawings, specifications and work plans.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare performance and safety reports, and coordinate with other departments and contractors.
• Manage inventory of parts, tools and test equipment; coordinate procurement as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical teams in complex facilities.
• Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize work to meet mission‑critical deadlines.
