Legal Director

About the role

The Legal Director serves as the chief legal advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, ensuring the company operates within the law, providing counsel on legal and compliance matters, and overseeing the legal aspects of business transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a legal strategy aligned with business goals and risk profile.
• Advise senior leadership on legal, regulatory, and governance issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate EPC contracts, sub‑contracts, joint‑venture agreements and procurement documents.
• Support tendering and commercial teams in contract risk evaluation.
• Manage claims, disputes, litigation and arbitration matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead corporate legal affairs, governance and restructuring initiatives.
• Develop legal policies, systems and controls.
• Lead and develop the in‑house legal team.
• Promote legal awareness through training and guidance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
• Deep knowledge of construction law, FIDIC/NEC contracts, corporate law and dispute resolution.
• Strategic mindset balancing legal and commercial priorities.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Law.

Required skills

• SAP/ERP knowledge (preferred).
