Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake) – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise robust data pipelines for enterprise‑scale analytics. The role focuses on both batch and streaming solutions within a modern cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Architect and optimise ETL/ELT workflows using cloud‑native services and orchestrators.
• Develop high‑performance data models for downstream analytical use cases.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate diverse datasets and enforce data‑quality standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve pipeline performance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Python
• Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
• Workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer
• Snowflake
