Kitchen Manager

About the role

The Kitchen Manager leads daily kitchen operations for Opaa! Food Management, ensuring food quality, safety, and compliance with all regulations while delivering excellent service to students and schools.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain quality and sanitation standards.
• Investigate and resolve food quality or service complaints.
• Coordinate meal preparation and transportation to satellite locations.
• Conduct daily safety and production meetings with kitchen staff.
• Supervise, train, and certify kitchen staff across all production stations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and FIFO inventory practices.
• Ensure compliance with Opaa! recipes, HACCP, HHFKA, CACFP, and local health regulations.
• Manage food and supply orders, track production records, and reconcile daily tray counts.
• Communicate regularly with building principals and district nutrition services.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supervising kitchen or food‑service teams.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and nutrition program regulations.
• Ability to train staff, resolve issues promptly, and uphold core organizational values.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ADP timekeeping system.
• Experience using the Boss inventory and production software.
• Knowledge of HACCP, HHFKA, and CACFP compliance requirements.
