Information Management Associate (Temporary)

About the role

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is seeking a temporary Information Management Associate to support humanitarian response in Venezuela. Based in Maracaibo, the role will contribute to data collection, analysis, and the production of information products that guide decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and disseminate response data in coordination with OCHA partners.
• Use GIS and Business Intelligence tools to analyse data and create maps, dashboards and infographics.
• Ensure data is disaggregated by gender and age to inform targeted assistance.
• Support sector leads with the 5W system, contact lists and monitoring tools.
• Produce regular information products such as databases, maps and visual briefs.
• Collaborate with UN agencies, NGOs and international organisations to share data within a common analytical framework.
• Update information products according to dissemination schedules and assist with public information campaigns.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in information management, geography, humanitarian affairs or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work under supervision, coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain a customer‑centric approach.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely outputs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Experience in data visualisation and creating information products.
