Information Management Associate (Temporary) – Caracas

About the role

The Information Management Associate will support OCHA’s humanitarian response in Venezuela by collecting, analysing and visualising data to inform decision‑making. Working under the Head of Information Management, the role combines data handling, GIS mapping and the production of information products.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and disseminate response data, ensuring gender‑ and age‑disaggregation.
• Use GIS or Business Intelligence tools to create maps, dashboards and infographics for operational planning.
• Upload and share information on agreed platforms and keep products updated on regular schedules.
• Support sector leaders with 5W data collection and contribute to regular reporting.
• Collaborate with UN agencies, NGOs and other partners to gather data within a common analytical framework.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in information management, GIS or data visualisation.
• Fluency in Spanish and ability to work under pressure in a humanitarian context.
• Strong organisational, self‑management and problem‑solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Graphic design tools (InDesign, Illustrator).
• Data visualisation platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
