Information Management Associate (Temporary) – Caracas

About the role

The Information Management Associate will support OCHA’s humanitarian response in Venezuela by collecting, validating, and visualising data. Working under the Head of Information Management, the role focuses on GIS, data analysis and the production of information products to aid decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and disseminate response data, ensuring gender‑ and age‑disaggregated information.
• Use GIS or Business Intelligence tools to analyse data and create maps, dashboards and infographics.
• Support sector leaders with the 5W system, databases and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with UN agencies, NGOs and other partners to gather data within a common analytical framework.
• Maintain and update information products according to regular dissemination schedules.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus a Bachelor’s degree in information management, information systems, social sciences or related field.
• Minimum 3 years (with Bachelor’s) or 6 years (with secondary) of relevant experience in information management, GIS, data visualization or similar.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Resilience, strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
