Grants Manager (Humanitarian) – Caracas

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a national Grants Manager to lead its grants management and partnership portfolio in Venezuela. Based in the Caracas country office, the role ensures compliance with donor requirements, high‑quality reporting and effective proposal development across protection, food security, WASH and disaster preparedness programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the grants management and partnerships portfolio for DRC Venezuela, ensuring donor compliance and timely reporting.
• Supervise, mentor and set performance objectives for the Grants Management Specialist and the Partnership Specialist.
• Coordinate contract management, donor communications, modification requests and contractual documentation.
• Facilitate grant kickoff, review and closing meetings, monitor timelines and KPI performance.
• Maintain accurate grant data in DRC’s Dynamics system and SharePoint, update the grants tracker and ensure information flow with regional offices, HQ and field teams.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and support the Senior Management Team on all grants‑related matters.

Required profile

• National candidate with extensive experience in humanitarian grant management.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations, contract management and reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with donors, HQ and field offices.
