Finance Delegate – Venezuela

About the role

The German Red Cross is seeking an experienced Finance Delegate to lead daily financial management for its office in Venezuela. Based in Caracas, the delegate will work closely with the Venezuelan Red Cross and support humanitarian projects, especially those responding to recent earthquakes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day financial management of the GRC Venezuela office and its projects.
• Oversee payments, cashier functions, and bank signatory duties in coordination with project delegates.
• Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting in line with donor regulations and funding guidelines.
• Provide financial support to the GRC Finance Officer in Colombia when required.
• Travel to Colombia as needed to ensure seamless financial operations across the delegation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management of humanitarian or development projects.
• Familiarity with donor regulations and budgeting processes.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Head of Office and collaborate with an international team.
• Willingness to travel between Venezuela and Colombia.
