About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Finance Assistant to support its finance operations in Caracas, Venezuela. This short‑term position will contribute to the efficient handling of financial paperwork and reporting within a multicultural, humanitarian environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with finance and accounting tasks, ensuring attention to detail and methodical organization of paperwork.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation, data entry, and reporting.
- Support SAP‑related processes where applicable, leveraging any prior experience with the system.
Required profile
- High school diploma with at least four years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field with two years of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; prior experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, client‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working with international humanitarian, non‑governmental or governmental organizations in a multicultural setting is beneficial.
- Fluency in English, French or Spanish as required by IOM official languages.
