Field Service Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

The Field Service Engineer is the technical expert who assists customers in installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems throughout their lifecycle. This role involves on‑site work, customer training, and acting as the liaison between Rockwell Automation and its clients.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, commission, maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation software and hardware products.
• Provide technical support during planned service visits and emergency engineering calls.
• Resolve technical issues related to Rockwell Automation equipment and approve operational quality.
• Instruct customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports and complete administrative tasks such as expense and time reporting.
• Participate in internal training programs and stay current with Rockwell Automation technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including domestic and international trips.
• Typically 5 + years of experience in industrial automation and customer service.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional and multicultural teams.
