Data Engineer – Azure Databricks (Remote)

About the role

As a Data Engineer specializing in Azure Databricks, you will design and maintain scalable data architectures within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. You will bridge raw data sources and actionable insights, ensuring pipelines and storage are optimized for high‑performance analytics and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines for large‑scale ingestion and transformation using Azure Databricks.
• Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to convert raw data into structured formats for downstream consumption.
• Build and manage data lakehouse architectures, ensuring data consistency and reliability across storage layers.
• Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to define data requirements and develop models supporting complex business queries.
• Monitor pipeline performance and proactively troubleshoot bottlenecks to maintain platform stability.
• Apply data governance and quality controls to uphold data integrity and security in the Azure environment.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise building data pipelines and ingestion systems on Azure Databricks.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation, cleaning, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of Azure‑native services and cloud data architecture.
• Hands‑on experience supporting analytics and reporting workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
