About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Child Protection Officer (GBV) for a six‑month temporary appointment in Caracas, Venezuela, to support children and families affected by the recent earthquakes.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate with national, regional and local authorities to ensure child protection interventions are delivered.
Contribute to UNICEF’s emergency response for children and caregivers impacted by the seismic events.
Support the implementation of gender‑based violence prevention and response activities within the broader protection strategy.

Required profile

Professional experience in child protection and gender‑based violence in humanitarian settings.
Ability to work in a fast‑moving emergency environment.

Required skills

Knowledge of child protection standards and GBV frameworks.
