Software Engineer (Modernization) – Remote

About the role

As a Software Engineer (Modernization) you will modernize legacy monolithic applications, turning them into agile, cloud‑ready microservices. You will work remotely with a global team of top‑tier engineers, delivering high‑impact solutions for leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose large monolithic systems into manageable microservices using patterns such as the Strangler Fig.
• Refactor legacy .NET or Java codebases to improve readability, maintainability, and performance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between newly decoupled services.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines to automate delivery workflows and reduce deployment risk.
• Collaborate with domain experts to define bounded contexts and ensure data consistency during migrations.

Required profile

• Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and working with microservice architectures.
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex business logic and translate it into maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team.
