Shopify Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Shopify Engineer to join BairesDev’s development team and help a client elevate its eCommerce platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, building, and maintaining custom Shopify solutions and integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the eCommerce team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and implement custom Shopify themes and templates using Liquid.
• Develop, maintain, and publish custom Shopify apps and plugins.
• Integrate Shopify with external systems such as CRM, ERP, and payment gateways.
• Optimize website performance, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on the Shopify storefront and apps.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Shopify Liquid.
• At least 2 years of experience with a modern JavaScript framework (React, NextJS, VueJS, etc.).
• Proven track record of developing Shopify apps.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
• Experience with headless Shopify architecture is a plus.
