Project Development and Reporting Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Development and Reporting Officer to join its Caracas office. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Head of the Project Support Unit, the officer will help drive project development and ensure accurate donor and institutional reporting in migration management and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Support the coordination and facilitation of project development activities aligned with IOM’s regional and country strategies.
• Prepare and submit donor and institutional reports on migration‑related projects and emergency response initiatives.
• Assist in liaison and communication with government counterparts, UN agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with relevant units at the Regional Office and Headquarters to ensure consistency and quality of reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., international relations, development studies, public administration) and professional experience in project development, reporting, or migration management.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior IOM officials and in close collaboration with multiple units.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills in English.
