HR Manager – Venezuela (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are looking for a resilient, proactive, and hands‑on Human Resources Manager to own the full HR function in Venezuela. This solo position will be responsible for aligning HR strategy with business goals while handling day‑to‑day administrative tasks in a challenging oil & gas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Venezuelan labor laws (LOTTT, LOPCYMAT) and mandatory contributions (INCES, FAOV, IVSS).
• Manage employee relations, contracts, terminations, and represent the company before local labor authorities.
• Design and implement competitive compensation structures, oversee payroll inputs, benefits administration, profit‑sharing and severance calculations.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for technical, operational and managerial roles, develop talent pipelines and employer branding.
• Coordinate onboarding programs to accelerate new‑hire productivity.
• Act as HR Business Partner to local leadership, drive performance, culture initiatives and manage HR projects autonomously.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–7 years of HR generalist/manager experience in Venezuela, preferably in oil & gas or heavy industry.
• Proven ability to work independently without direct reports.
• Strong project‑management, negotiation and resilience in volatile economic conditions.
• Fluent Spanish and advanced/fluently English for regional reporting.
