Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the role

PlanChecker.AI is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI models that power its core products and internal tools. This full‑time, on‑site position in Caracas offers the chance to work on real‑world datasets and deliver impactful AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Research, implement, and optimise machine‑learning and deep‑learning algorithms.
• Develop production‑grade software components and integrate them into existing systems.
• Perform feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Maintain documentation, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality and maintainability.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures and version control.
• Hands‑on experience with neural networks, pattern recognition and natural‑language‑processing techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and scikit‑learn.
• Ability to work with real‑world datasets, including cleaning, feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
