Accounting Manager

About the role

UpCounting is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a team of talented accountants and provide founders of eCommerce brands with clean, reliable financials. You will work in a fully remote, tech‑forward environment where continuous improvement and automation are core values.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of accountants to deliver accurate, timely work.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting, including reconciliations, financial reports, and month‑end close for multiple client files.
• Ensure consistent application of UpCounting’s accounting processes and drive operational excellence.
• Communicate financial insights to clients and support smooth financial operations.
• Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with Controllers and senior leadership to optimize workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a firm or multi‑client setting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a calm, structured style.
• Solid technical foundation in full‑cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end processes.
• Comfortable using automation tools and improving processes.
• FP&A or financial modeling experience is a plus.
