Remote Bilingual Accounting Assistant (AP & Reconciliations)

About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Bilingual Accounting Assistant to support senior property accountants in a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance for property‑management clients.
Key responsibilities
- Enter and code vendor bills in AppFolio, route approvals, and maintain a clean AP queue.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple property and entity accounts.
- Reconcile GL accounts and vendor sub‑ledgers, investigating over‑payments, duplicate payments, and miscoded charges.
- Apply consistent chart‑of‑accounts coding and flag unclear items.
- Contribute ideas for AI‑driven AP automation and process improvements.
Required profile
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, AP, or bookkeeping.
- Strong ownership mindset, initiative, and ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Meticulous, dependable, and comfortable working unsupervised after onboarding.
