Lead Sales Specialist – Well Construction

About the role

Join the Well Construction team to drive commercial growth of Baker Hughes’ drilling portfolio across Venezuela. You will shape and execute the sales strategy for Directional Drilling Services, Drill Bits, and Drilling & Completions Fluids, working directly with operators and joint‑venture partners as the market reactivates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a commercial strategy aligned with LATAM objectives for the well‑construction portfolio.
• Engage with JV and international operators to identify growth opportunities and manage drilling campaigns, redevelopment projects, and new field evaluations.
• Lead tender processes, including pricing, commercial exceptions, and contract negotiations.
• Position advanced technologies such as RSS, motors, MWD/LWD, PDC and hybrid bits, and fluid systems.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and cross‑product integration.
• Provide market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and operator plans.
• Ensure seamless handover to operations and uphold compliance, ethics, and HSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in directional drilling services, including MWD/LWD, RSS, motors, or BHA optimization.
• Established network within Venezuela’s upstream sector.
• Proven track record in technical sales, account management, or commercial leadership.
• Fluency in Spanish and strong proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
