Data Migration Consultant – Freelance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Consultant to join the migration team at Josh No Code on a freelance basis. The role combines client‑facing consulting with hands‑on technical delivery, guiding customers through full CRM data migration projects from requirements gathering to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand data structures, migration needs and challenges.
• Scope and propose migration solutions based on best practices.
• Transform, clean and validate data prior to migration.
• Design and run migration workflows using scripting, APIs and automation tools.
• Develop and execute REST API calls (JSON) for data transfer and integration.
• Use Google Sheets / Excel for advanced data transformation, validation and reporting.
• Write custom scripts in Python or JavaScript for data processing and extraction.
• Document migration processes for client transparency and internal reference.
• Debug and resolve migration issues to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Required profile

• Fluent, near‑native English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Availability to work during EST business hours.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive problem‑solver with a strong focus on client success.
• Dependable and reliable, able to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Google Sheets and Excel proficiency.
• Strong Python or JavaScript programming skills.
• Extensive experience with JSON scripting and REST API calls.
• Ability to make, test and debug API requests.
• Experience with n8n workflow automation.
• Data transformation and validation expertise.
• Working knowledge of HTML and browser inspector tools for data extraction.
